Blast from the Past!

It's been a while since I posted anything here. I have been working with my family at our new Cuban Restaurant, El Sitio III in Kendall, FL. But, that doesn't mean that I haven't been keeping myself busy with illustration assignments. I was shocked to receive an email from Brian Dixon, the editor/publisher of Revelation Magazine, a magazine based on art and literature about the Apocalypse. I worked with them over five years ago, where I had the honor of illustrating the interior illustrations, plus the cover of the magazine. I started out as an illustrator about ten years ago in the horror/sci-fi genre working with all kinds of magazines like Cemetery Dance, Apex and Paradox Historical Fiction.

The Last One

So, now, I am busy working on Revelation's newest issue. This is a sketch idea for the cover:

I was very inspired by some of the characters in the the stories I have read so far, including a short story  from the Detective Merkouros Mystery Series by author Daniel Pearlman. I wanted to depict some of the characters on the cover as if they were wandering in a ghost-like landscape.

I will keep you posted as the project progresses!
